What is the objective of the award?

The goal of Sustainability 100+ awards is to provide a credible and reputable platform for recognizing and celebrating individuals or entities who are making significant contributions to sustainability-focused areas like climate action, water stewardship, circular packaging, smart agriculture, social entrepreneurship and green finance.

The emphasis of the awards is on sustainability, which involves practices and initiatives that contribute to the long-term well-being of the environment, society, and economy. This could include efforts to reduce environmental impact, promote social responsibility, and/or adopt sustainable business practices.

Our aim for this season is to elevate the conversation on sustainability and bring the promises of sustainable living closer to fruition.

What are we looking for in your application?

We are looking for entities and/or individuals actively working in the sustainability space who:

  • Have created measurable and meaningful impact through their active participation in the Indian sustainability landscape.
  • Have significantly contributed towards the advancement of sustainability in the country.
  • Have successfully deployed innovative sustainable solutions across various fields and technologies.
  • Have developed/established proven sustainable operational models that can be scaled in the future.

Who can apply for the awards?

Any of the following categories can apply:

  • Entities registered in India under the following categories:
    • Corporates: Private or Public Limited
    • NGOs: Section 8 company, trusts, funds
    • Startups: Only registered entities. Unregistered entities can file an application in the Individuals category.
  • Individuals running an initiative/project in the relevant category within the sustainability space: Young leader, social influencer, individual entrepreneurs
    Note: If applicants believe that they are eligible under multiple categories (for e.g. individuals and startups), they must pick one category based on preference.

Who is eligible to fill the award application form?

Following entities can apply for the awards:

  • Corporates: CEOs, Sustainability Heads, Marketing Heads, Corporate Communication Heads, CSR Heads
  • NGOs: Trustee / CEO
  • Startups: CEO / Founder
  • Individuals: Self

Please note that the name of the organization will appear on all award documentation, while for the Individual category, the name of the nominated individual shall be showcased.

What are the award categories?

There are 6 topic areas under sustainability:

  • Climate Action
  • Water Stewardship
  • Circular Packaging
  • Smart Agriculture
  • Social Entrepreneurship
  • Green Finance

Can I submit my application in any language?

No. All entries must strictly be in English to ensure uniformity in the evaluation process.

Can I select more than one category?

No, the participant can only select one entity (e.g. individual) and award (e.g. climate action) category combination.

Can I submit multiple applications under the awards?

No, the participant can only submit one application with the details asked in the form. Participant must select the category relevant to their company/project. All applications shall be considered ineligible if a duplicate submission is found. If the project/company is eligible under multiple award categories, participant needs to pick a single category based on their preference.

Is there a fee for submitting entries?

No, there is no application fee associated with the Awards.

Is it mandatory to provide supporting documents?

It is mandatory to provide one file compiling all evidential documents related to your company/project and one video as a supporting file for your submission. We recommend you provide as much information as possible to support and strengthen your entry with relevant documents and attachments. Formats and file size mentioned in the application must be strictly adhered to.

What is the difference between validated, published and self-declared evidence?

  • Validated evidence includes reports, certifications, or any form of validation by a certified independent agency. This could include audited company reports, recognition of work/ awards by an independent forum, ratings by agencies like Refinitiv, Sustainalytics, Morningstar etc.
  • Published evidence includes articles (long-form or short- including social media posts), videos and images published externally by the individual/company and/or a reputed media organization through a variety of mediums including company reports (audited or unaudited), social media platforms, blog posts, news articles/reports, etc.
  • Self-documented evidence includes any documents that have not been released externally. This could include images of your initiative, internally maintained records, white-papers, etc.

In general, it is recommended to submit proof that has been validated by an external organization or published externally.

Is answering all application questions mandatory?

Yes, the jury will score your application based on each individual response to the questions you have answered, so it is important that you consider each question carefully and provide a comprehensive response. Sections A and C are self-explanatory. You can view a demo response sheet for Section B (accessible from the top right button of the application form) to understand the level of detailing required.

What happens to the application once it is submitted?

Your application will first be reviewed for eligibility, completeness, and adherence to application guidelines. Incomplete and ineligible applications will be rejected without any scope for further review. Completed applications that meet the eligibility criteria will be further considered for the jury rounds.

Is offline submission possible?

No. Applications must be submitted online, but our 'save as draft' feature allows for a paced submission process.

Can I edit my application post-submission?

No. Changes are not permitted post-submission, barring requests for additional information by the awards team.

What is the deadline for submission of entries?

Last date for receiving completed application form is 20th February, 2024.

How will I be notified of my application's receipt?

An email acknowledgment will be sent to the registered email ID within 24 hours from time of submission.

Who is the Awards process advisor?

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has been engaged to oversee the awards process to ensure fairness and integrity.

How are jury members selected?

Jury members are selected by Network18 and AB InBev based on their expertise and contributions to the sustainability space in India. Further, every jury member is required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest prior to their selection.

Is a firm represented by jury member allowed to enter competition?

Yes, a firm/organization represented by a jury member can enter the competition. However, in this scenario, the respective jury member will not be allowed to evaluate the work submitted by their own organization.

Is there a say or recommendation of Network18 or AB InBev in shortlisting or winning the Sustainability Award?

No, the selection process is independent of these organizations' endorsements.

When are the winners announced?

The announcement will be made tentatively in March at the awards ceremony; please stay updated via our website.

How do we know if we are shortlisted and need to provide further information?

The awards management team will contact the ‘Contact Person’ on the registered email ID and contact number provided in the application.

How many winners will be selected?

The jury may select one or more winners in each category based on merit.
