As the most prosperous state in India and a hotbed of industrial development, Maharashtra is also known as the country's financial capital. The state has led the way in many respects, and other states look to it for guidance when balancing growth with sustainability.
Maharashtra is currently working to build an institutional structure to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals in India. To help the state of Maharashtra inch closer to becoming a US$1-Trillion economy and set the stage for India to become a US$5-Trillion economy, some of the most prominent think tanks in the country will gather at the Maharashtra State Summit by Sustainability 100+.
